The Deakin University Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (DUPRF) 2026, previously
known as the Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, is designed to support
early career researchers who show potential to become internationally competitive. This
fellowship aims to enhance research capacity in key areas and foster the next generation
of high-achieving researchers.

Eligibilty Criteria
Have been awarded a PhD on or after January 1, 2022, or have a PhD award date
equivalent to January 1, 2022, when factoring in allowable career interruptions (e.g.,
parental leave, medical leave, or other significant disruptions).

Funding Details
. Salary Support: Up to 3 years of funding. For international fellows, the third year is
subject to visa requirements.
– Research Grant: A one-time $15,000 grant for direct research costs, including
consumables, specialized computers, equipment, resources, and travel (if permitted).
